Outsourcing sometimes is a TABOO word in some patriotic circles, as there is an automatic association with loss of work to overseas workers. While this can be a case, it does not have to be, and can be a profitable way to make money for you… regardless of where fullfilment occurs.

A QUICK example.

Client needs site and can pay up to $1000

Outsourced web development company does site for $500

You have $500 disposable cash to account for issues or additional development time.

The BEST way is to have an established rapport with dependable firms. This MAY TAKE TIME and an effort to really build a reliable business relationship. However, the basic steps, go like this:

Find 3-5 good outsourcing development groups in web design, graphics design, and copywrighting. A lot of the times, the same group can do the web and graphics design.

Check out their online work and portfolios. This will help you to choose who you like and be able to match to the needs of the job.

Let the development group know that you have jobs and figure out rates for generic orders. In other words, for a 3-5 page website, see what they will charge, how long it takes to develop, how many iterations they will give you to satisfy the client.

Check out any credentials they may have to validate work. Look for dependable and proven testimonials. See if they have certifications or are parts of organizations like the Better Business Bureau.

HIRE THEM YOURSELF. This is an important step before you put your name out for real jobs. Ask them if you can get a reduced rate for a job in order to establish an outsourcing relationship. Look below under TIPS and Techniques to get a super idea to do this.

Once you get a development group and a possible lead for a website, then create an outline of the development needs and share it with the groups. See who offers the best rate and turn around time. NOTE: in some cases, the development groups may even give you a MOCKUP, or a JPEG image of a rudimentary layout. (Show these to your clients for direction and early approval of design)

Select a Development group based on the matching needs of the client.

Project Manage the web development. Act as the intermediary between the client and the web development group. Take constructive criticism and advised direction of the client and translate for the web designers.

Always act fairly for both your developer AND your client. You must be realistic as to the number of iterations of development based on the price and promise.

Complete the site once all parties are happy. Ask for referrals from the client.

Tips & Techniques For OutSourcing and Additional Revenue!

Test the development group first. A great way to do this is to ask the development group to make you an OUTSOURCING website. This lets you see their work. They normally will also do it relatively inexpensively OR in some cases for FREE. Again, this is helpful as it helps you to see their work and best of all, can give you a slick website to generate leads and from which to conduct your new found business.

If you have lots of leads for web jobs: Put a development firm on retainer. A flat rate of $1500 a month for a pre-allocated number of development hours may be cheaper for you than on a “by the job” basis.

Learn to Upsell: find out the total needs of your client. If they need business cards and logos, then that is something that the development/design group could possibly couple with the web site.

Couple in Consultation with Web Development: Another upsell, is to let the client know that once a site has been developed, that there is a definite need for promotion. Search engine optimization, pay per click campaigns and more give you room for consultation and perhaps, a monthly income residual.

Make money from hosting: The client will need hosting. I like to take the headache out of my hosting situation by making my money in advance. If you do lots of web sites by outsourcing, why should you want to trust that this client will be yours for months or years? Become an affiliate of HostGator.com or another reliable hosting company. Make your money UPFRONT from the hosting, as many of these companies pay well for the affiliate referral. Hostgator pays between $50 and $125 currently to affiliates!

Use an Escrow Service: An escrow service, when used properly, allows the web development firm to know that the money for the service is safe and ready once the job is complete. Once they deliver the product appropriately, then you release payment from the escrow service. This protects you AND the service provider. But don’t be surprised if they watermark their work until the finished product is delivered. If you are REALLY frugal, ask the web development company to split the costs with you.

Use a Freelancer Service to find web development firms. Services like GetAFreelancer.com have a very high number of firms bidding on jobs. Go there, pay the $5 needed to post a job. Then post a job… like a 5 page website. See how many firms write you to bid on the job. I have posted many jobs like this to develop relationships and it was at LEAST 10-15 bids per job! Check out portfolios and work from there.

Resell the Domain names: The customers will need Domain names. Use your affiliate ID for a registrar!

My advice is of course, is that you are qualified to scope these jobs and manage the design/development projects. You should Plan to be competent!

Good luck and if the role fits, good luck on outsourcing!

What is Online Broadcasting? Well, we all have the ability to record video with a webcam LIVE while people watch us online. We can use this technology to promote our business, chat and interact with friends and family, give education seminars and more… The Sky is the Limit.

Easy Solution…. From only $9.95 per month, we have a great technology platform that allows us to:

do live video broadcasting, push slides for education, and take live and chat questions during our talks. (Youtube.com, Google Video, etc… NONE of them allow LIVE broadcasting)

Allow you to generate revenue from your videos… PAY PER VIEW IS INCLUDED

Send unlimited video emails, instantly sent right after recording. ( With Youtube.com, you have to upload the video and wait for it to encode.)

Upload your podcasts.

Upload your pictures.

Network with other people

Video Chat with 3 other people!

BLOG

and more!!!

This is ONLY $9.95. Click here to check out the packages…

Now. Since I am not only an Internet Marketing Consultant, but also a self proclaimed Techie… then I have found an article that you may like to read. THE MOST IMPORTANT take home of this blog is that there are MILLIONS of people on the internet and MILLIONS of people who don’t know how to set all of this up…. so the $9.95 is an awesome investment!

For all of my techies out there saying that you can do this whole platform.. I am happy for you. I too in the past, have set up my own radio stations, webcasts and more. But our platform is TOO easy compared to all of that.

Here is a great reminder of what you would have to do set up your own Live Web TV Shows… http://www.robertwisbey.com/how_to_web_cam_wme.html

There, Robert describes the following steps… (And this is just to set up Live broadcasting)

Downloading Windows Media Encoder.

Having a PC fast and robust enough to run the Encoder (the software is very robust)

Getting a Fixed IP presence or using a free service to dynamically record your IP address to simulate a STATIC DNS environment.

Examining your software and hardware router firewalls to allow Windows Media Encoder to access internet.

Configuration of Windows Media Encoder

Creation of web pages to house the Live Web Cam Feed.

Embedding the video code … This is good…

No matter how pretty a website is, and no matter how many bells and whistles that it may have, it is NO Good without traffic.

Just like a retail store, selling shoes…. Either that store is located on a very busy street, OR it is located in an area where
the store owner pays an extra premium to be one of the exclusive shoe vendors, OR it is off the beaten path. If it is off of the beaten path, the store owner must especially use tactics and strategies to increase the store’s visibility. Whether that is special discounts, advertising, etc., the good store owner knows that he must increase foot traffic to sell shoes. ( Like the Play on words?)

This is a great ebook on creating theme-based sites that will increase targeted traffic. In other words, if you have a web site on DOGS, you have a better chance at converting your customer and increasing revenue if you attract a dog lover as a customer. Aren’t they the one who wants to buy a bone or a collar anyway?

From the description of the ebook,

As the editors of BlackInternetMarketing.com, we like this book because it greatly describes how to become a great Affiliate
marketer and also allows you to learn these great tactics to promote your own products and services. The very first page of his ebook, the very first thing that he concentrates on is CONTENT. Anyone who knows me, knows that I will advise good rich content on a website before anything else. Why else do people come and STAY to a website?

As owners of larger, traffic generating sites, we believe that this can help your business.

Download this ebook today. Of course in the long run, this author is promoting one of his products. I have not specifically heard
of its pros and cons, but definitely believe that the principles of this bookare solid.

Well, to get to a website, we could laboriously type in http://10.10.10.10 and IF we had a good memory or great numerical typing skills, we may get that particular website associated with that IP…. OR, we can work with DOMAINS and configure a domain name to point to that server IP for us. So in essence… 1. Typing in www.domainname.com would point to 10.10.10.10 and our web page would be seen….

The advantage of using a domain name is that it should be easier to remember, easier to type, and should ultimately be associated with the content or subject matter of your website. Domain names are a BIG deal… Why would I reserve a domain name like www.thisismyreallycoolwebsite.com when people may misspell it or may not remember it? Afterall, it then teeters on the decision to memorize http://102.92.78.201 as a website address… doesn’t it?

8 Quick Tips to Choosing a Domain Name

Your domain name is the center of your Internet identity. So what type of things should you take into consideration when choosing the name that will represent you on the Web? Jumpline.com offers these 8 handy tips.

1. Keep it short

Although some places allow you to register a name with up to 63 characters, you have to keep in mind that people need to be able to remember it, and easily type it into their browser. Try to register the shortest name that your customers and visitors will associate with your Website. The general rule of thumb is, keep it under seven characters if possible. (Not including the suffix.)

2. Dot What?

There are many different extensions available right now. For businesses, we recommend a .com suffix. It is the first extension that most people try when searching for a Website. Also, since it is one of the oldest extensions, .com shows that your business has been around for a while and that you have a well-established presence on the Web.

3. Avoid Trademarked Names

There are two really good reasons for this. First, it’s not very nice. We have all heard the stories about the zany guy who thought ahead and bought “some-huge-multi-million-dollar-company.com” and sold it to the company for enough money to retire on. But, remember that those companies, like yours, have spent lots of time and money creating their brand, and what goes around comes around. Also, companies are no longer opening their pocketbooks to get their names back. They are calling their lawyers.

4. Register Your Domain NOW

Domain names are being snatched up faster than candy at the St. Patrick’s Day parade. You must register soon unless you want to get stuck with “the-domain-name-that-no-one-wanted.net“. You do not have to have a Webmaster or an ecommerce department or a Web design consultant or… Heck, you don’t even need a Web page. Just get out there and register before you loose the opportunity to get the name you really want.

<shapetype coordsize="21600,21600" o:spt="75" o:preferrelative="t" path="m@4@5l@4@11@9@11@9@5xe" filled="f" stroked="f" id="_x0000_t75"><stroke joinstyle="miter"></stroke>

5. One May Not Be Enough

Sometimes, it isn’t a bad idea to register several similar domain names. If you have “yourname.com”, register “yourname.net” so no one else takes it. You can register your full company name and a shorter, easier to remember version. Some people even register common misspellings of their company’s name. (You don’t need a separate Web page for each. Several domains can point to the same Website.)

6. Character Types

Just a reminder. Domain names can only use letters, numbers, and dashes. Spaces and symbols are not allowed. Also, domain names are not case sensitive.

7. Ask Around

When you have settled on several available name choices, see what your friends and clients have to say. A name that may make perfect sense to you may be too hard for other people to remember. Is your domain easy to say? Is it hard to spell? Do you have to explain why you chose the name?

8. Don’t Shell Out Large Amounts of $$$

At one time, companies were able to get away with charging reservation fees plus a “mandatory” $70 InterNIC fee. Recently, it was decided that other companies should be able to compete to sell domain names. This has lowered prices dramatically.

And remember, if you think that if you have found the right domain name, but you’re not quite sure if it’s the one… register it anyway before someone else does!
