Could you stop Texting and Emailing… Cold Turkey?
Recent articles talk about Barack Obama having to give up his BlackBerry. Considered a security threat, President Elect Obama will have to stop emailing AND will have to consider, if at all, a READ-ONLY email system where he will have to respond to email by his phone.
They also say that he, amazingly, may be the FIRST president to have a laptop in the Oval Office. That is amazing. … years of Presidents during technology-present times, and NO computer in the White House Oval Office?

Just today, my wife asked me, “… What would you do without your phone? ” as she scolded me about checking a quick email at church. OOPS… guess honesty can sometimes be TOO honest.
As internet marketers, I guess our businesses would HAVE to be sold to others or run by others. No more emails for President Elect Obama!
So the question is, “Could you stop COLD turkey?”… No more email. No more text?

I think the powerful thing to learn is how one can go cold turkey off email. Personally, if I didn’t have to deal with email and phone, I wouldn’t, I much rather face to face interaction.
So if I was in his shoes, I would actually be pretty excited that I have removed one more bit of mental clutter from my life and will now have it handled by other people…..

You are very right Mwangi. Actually, I have a few email accounts for various things. The hard part is not sifting through all of the mail, junk or otherwise. The issue is decreasing the frequency of when I check. That REALLY takes me off focus if I don’t discipline myself.
