As a self-learned jack of all trades on the Internet, I think that I have had a breadth of knowledge in my own school of Internet Marketing.  I wanted to list some of these skills.  I have since compared them to some of the objectives that the above Internet Marketing schools are stating will be learned in their programs.  From an overall high level… .they are similar.  So how respected will experience be compared to these degrees?  Not sure… but wonder if you will comment!

This allowed sharing of information & lead generation.

* Overview: Key understanding of use of wikis, blogs, personal sites, community sites, domain stack purchases, and more to maintain key search engine positions for personal names and corporate entities.

* Screen Print: High positioning of personal name “Brandon Johnson Atlanta”

* Overview: Key understanding of how to strategically blog and add copy via XML/RSS feeds to increase search keyword density. Subsequently, have a great understanding and working knowledge of services such as Sitemeter.com, Technorati, Pingerator.com, haloScan.com, and Feedburner.com to improve viral nature of blogs.

* Number 1 out of 7 MILLION results for my Blog …, Have a number 1 placement of a personal blog, www.blackinternetmarketing.com for keywords “black internet marketing”

* Overview: As a web developer and intermediate skilled designer, I am able to scope projects very well. I have a key understanding of great open source software packages such as WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, and more and can use these platforms for economical installations leading to content rich SEO plans.

Sometimes, a little transparency is needed.  Wattles, in the Science of Getting Rich, states that one should concentrate on where he is going, instead of the adversity of where he has been.  This was in regards to NOT concentrating on the challenges in your life.  Well, without stating my personal challenges, I state that this, like many of your experiences this year, has been a tough year.  Maybe this LOOKS easy… but… well, we will leave it at that!

In my church on Sunday, the verse for the sermon surrounded Galations 6:9 –>  “… and let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap. if we faint not. ” So this is my note to you KEEP RUNNING the race!  Whether it is blogging, creating websites, selling flowers, or picking up trash… Keep running the race and run it HARD.

The field of Ecommerce & Internet Marketing is one in which big dreams exist.

Everyday, I see lots of money being made online.  Having some big brands that can do SO much better online financially, can really pop the gray hairs.  So just when I get close to nearly getting tired… throwing in the towel… giving up… Selling all the domain names I own… and going to school to become a plumber for all the “pity” I am rolling in, something pops up and hits me like a brick.  Check this letter out…

Yep, that’s right.  Humbly, your boy Brandon has been nominated for Entrepreneur of the Year : 2008 Chozen Award.

I think that the significance of this award is very meaningful. Fellow nominees for this category include a Lawyer operating a well known firm, a Big time Fashion promoter, an established Gospel marketing and Productions firm… promoting for major celebrities and record labels, and Art on 5… a wonderful art studio here in Atlanta with quite a following.

Again, the significance is this: BlackAtlanta.com started as an idea and evolved to what it is today.  Just a twinkle in my eye way back in the day.  Something created in the basement of our home.

• It did not take years of law study, although it did take years of marketing, self-taught web development education, and sometimes, some “lawyer-like persuasion”.
• Although it has its own beauty and aethetic life, it did not take buying a building to house beautiful portaits.

Willie Crawford, a 12 year Internet Marketing Veteran, has been making money online for years.  The first time that I remember REALLY paying attention to Willie was when he was having a fire sale to pay for his Daughter’s wedding.  I am really unsure how it went, but at the time, it amazed me that he had that much pull to where he was paying thousands and thousands of dollars (presuming… I HAVE A FAIRY TALE daughter who will kill my bank one day) to pay for a wedding.  Amazing!

$1 Million Dollar Dreams

The second time I really saw him make waves was when Willie vowed to try to make a $1M over a series of months.  As an avid internet searcher and student, I watched.  As I recall, he came close…. But I am not sure exactly how close. I just thought that any guy who could assert that he would do it, among friends, family, and yes, his peers must have a REAL confidence level in what he does.

My cousin Kelvin Brown is a great under study of Willie.  For years, he has bragged about Willie Crawford and all of the good that he was doing on the internet.  Honestly, Kelvin was the first person that professed blogs to me years ago.  Go Kelvin!!! Consistency, Rapport, and A Great Email List

I have observed the following attributes about Willie Crawford:

• Consistency:  One needs to be consistent in blogging, content updates, email list building, and all of the actions of good internet marketing.  Willie displays this, as he has regular BlogTalkRadio shows, conference calls, blog entries and more.
• Rapport:  I see a SMOOTH operator.  For real.  As I discuss in the next bullet point, an email list is HUGE in staying in touch.  However, the slick way he copy writes each email has me amazed in a story.  His use of the warm sale, I am sure, sells lots of his products and those he partners with.
• Email List:  Staying in regular touch with those on your email list, helps to keep the traffic high.  They visit your site, and increase the probability of an action conversion:  Namely a purchase of a product or a service.

As a person of Black heritage , truly I am a proud man.  Obama has stepped out on a steadfast journey… He is through the gates and now is ready to play the game on the field.

But as a Black Internet Marketer, I stand unified, just as Barack supporters do, with other Online Marketers, to engage all of my online audience to know that we too are in the best position ever.

Just as the world watched Barack Obama win, they are also watching studying, emulating, and YES, IMPROVING how the methods of how we recover economically offline and yes, online.

Current reports state that online spending is down… maybe so.  But the art of knowing how to:

• formulate strategic initiatives to correctly build online revenue-generating platforms
• improve them with analytics and testing
• stretch those online spends to increase ROI is a gem of a skill set in these economic times.

I charge each and every person without a web presence to gain one.  Visualize ways to increase current business OR find an online business to help to generate extra household cash.

For those of you who already own websites, that are not doing anything to assist you or your business, we can help you match the business model to your Internet objectives.
